A delay history that ended in a date
Originally planned for fall 2025, GTA 6 moved to spring 2026 in May 2025, was briefly dated May 26, 2026, then re-anchored to November 19, 2026. Take-Two's FY2027 guidance of $8.0–8.2B net bookings assumes this date, and the August 7, 2026 earnings call confirmed it a third time with 'a high degree of confidence'.
Performance at launch
Rockstar confirmed 30fps across all platforms at launch, including PS5 Pro. A 60fps mode has not been announced.
The two trailers that broke records
- Trailer 1 — Dec 4/5, 2023: ~90M views in 24h, three Guinness records; now the most-viewed game trailer on YouTube (250M+).
- Trailer 2 — May 6, 2025: all in-game footage, 475M views in 24h — the biggest video launch of all time at release.
- Trailer 3: not released. Rockstar's official answer on July 27, 2026 was simply 'wait'. Community expectation: September–October 2026.
